For the unaware, plastic has been banned in Maharashtra from June 23, there are several items which are banned, and few are allowed if it falls within the guidelines. In order to strictly enforce the rule, for those violating it, there is heavy fine that will be imposed. For first time offenders, it is Rs 5,000, for the second time it will be Rs 10,000, and for the third time, it is Rs 25,000 and three months in jail.
