Vangaveeti movie is on the evolution of rowdyism in the 1980’s in Vijayawada.The story of the film revolves around the rise of rowdyism in Vijayawada, which was dominated by the Kamma caste, while Vangaveeti Ranga became a leader of the Kapu community. the story starts with the killing of Chalasani Venkatarathnam by Vangaveeti Radha, and  how it ended with the death of Vangaveeti Mohan Ranga.

Vangaveeti Ranga entered public life after his brother Vangaveeti Radha Krishna was killed. His political career began in 1981 when he ran in the municipal election and the Congress Party withdrew its official candidate in his favor. His rival in the district, Devineni Rajasekhar, known as Nehru, was sponsored by the Telugu Desam Party. #Vangaveeti is a biopic film under Ram Gopal Varma’s direction.
